Overview

This 12-month journey allows students to begin their nursing careers in a one-year certificate program. There are no college course pre-requisites required prior to admission into the program. The LVN path ranks as one of the fastest-growing and marketable entry-level nursing positions in the field. This path provides the opportunity to transition to the Associate Degree Registered Nurse level if desired.

Career Options

Vocational nursing offers a satisfying and rewarding career for individuals interested in providing direct patient care. This allows the LVN to enter a professional career path with competitive salaries earning up to $30/hour.

99 percent of students are employed within 3 months of graduation, with many students entering the LVN to RN bridge program that is offered at Weatherford College.
