Weatherford College’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts prepares students for the professional world in theater, music, visual arts, and audio angineering. Some careers, such as teaching, require a degree higher than an Associate’s. Our Associate’s degrees in Fine and Performing Arts transfer seamlessly to a Bachelor’s program at the university level. Other jobs, such as audio engineering, only require the experience students receive in the certificate and A.A.S. degree programs. Whichever goal our students have for their future, the fine and performing arts programs at Weatherford College prepare students for their creative careers.
Audio engineering is a growing field, and state and national data show that DFW is the 5th largest metroplex in the country with the highest employment rate of Audio/Visual Technicians.
