Overview

The Associate of Arts in Child Development provides students with a strong educational foundation that will promote them to be lifelong learners. By training students to conduct well-planned, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate experiences for young children, you can be certain you will possess the knowledge and skills needed to provide experiences that support successful development in children.

Requirements

  • Pass a background check
  • Complete a health screening as necessary for field observation site requirements.

  • Following completion of this degree, students may pursue a bachelor's degree in Child Development, Family Studies, or Family and consumer Sciences at a university.

Transfer Options

Students can immediately enter the workforce upon earning an Associate of Arts in Child Development degree. The Associate of Arts in Child Development can be transferred to a 4-year university and applied to a Bachelor's Degree.
