Overview

The AAS degree in Early Childhood Education will prepare students to educate and care for children in early childhood settings.

Career Options

This degree plan prepares students to work as child care workers, teaching assistants, preschool teachers, or administrators in education/childcare facilities.

Students will be required to complete field observation hours. In order to do so, students must:

  • Pass a background check.
  • Complete a health screening as necessary and required by site.

Transfer Options

Students can immediately enter the workforce upon earning an Associate of Arts in Child Development degree. The Associate of Arts in Child Development can be transferred to a 4-year university and applied to a Bachelor's Degree.
