Recruitment

WC UB makes a strong effort to recruit rising freshman so we can begin offering our services early in a student’s high school career.  We accept applications at the beginning of every school year (September). There is no minimum grade point average, nor is there any racial-ethnic criterion for selection. We seek to admit students who are serious about their academics and college paths. Parental support is very important, due to the importance and length of the program.

Application Process

Students are selected based on federal eligibility, personal statements, interview, and recommendation from high school staff. Dedication in striving towards academic excellence is prized at UB. We are not looking for the best; we are looking for the most determined to succeed. Students must have positive attitudes and open minds when perusing all that WC UB has to offer. An application can be found on our Application page or by speaking to your high school counselor.
