Overview
Focus is on key concepts of analyzing and recording business transactions. Students will understand the complete accounting cycle and prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations and payroll form a hands-on perspective. Accounting fundamentals will be covered and then those fundamentals will be applied to QuickBooks to enable business owners to take control of their business finances.

Requirements
Applicants must complete the Bookkeeping & QuickBooks program application BEFORE they can be admitted into the program and are eligible for registration. If under 18, Minor Consent Form is required and must be completed then uploaded with the application.
Career Options
The skills learned offer the opportunity for promotion and/or taking control of their small business finances. Employment opportunities for positions such as Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, Office Clerk, Billing and Posting Clerk, Payroll and Timekeeping Clerk could be available as well.
Related Programs
Students wishing to further their training may be interested in the Computer Skills for Business. They may also wish to further their career and education by enrolling in the Accounting Certificate or Accounting Degree programs offered at Weatherford College.
Scholarships
Funding assistance or our on-campus programs are elegible through the Workforce Education Grant and Weatherford College Foundation Scholarship for Workforce Education may be available for eligible applicants, until funds are depleted. Please visit the Financial Assistance page for applications. This program does not qualify for FAFSA.
