Upon initial certification, teachers may test in other areas to gain additional certifications.  For more certification information, please visit the Texas TEA website.

In the meantime, WC has partnered with the Texas Institute for Teacher Education to support students' licensure and certification needs at a discounted rate.

BAAS ECET designated classes will be delivered per the course schedule in a hybrid format combining online coursework via Canvas with synchronous face to face and Zoom meetings held on select dates each semester. Attendance in face-to-face and Zoom sessions is a program requirement. This format blends the convenience of online learning with the benefits of real-time interaction with the instructor and fellow students. Other required classes may be offered in another format depending on the subject matter and instructor.

Public school paraprofessional serving in a Pre-6th grade setting may complete the entirety of the course online and are therefore excused from in-person attendance.  Exceptions may be made for presentations and group projects.
