CARES Act III
Weatherford College has received a third round of student aid from the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) to distribute in the form of Emergency grant aid. The College will utilize eligibility criteria set forth in the CARES Act Grant as follows:
If you experience additional expenses as a result of the Covid-19 crisis such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care.
Full time students (at least 12 hours per semester) are eligible for up to $2,000. Part time students are eligible for prorated awards.

- Weatherford College will receive $10,286,422 in total funds, with student portion totaling $5,261,403. WC transferred $2,514,890 from institutional funds to afford more student funds, student portion now totals $7,776,293.
- As of June 30, 2022 the total amount of funds disbursed to students is $7,776,293.
- The college estimates that approximately 4,500 students qualify and benefit from the Cares Act grant III funds (ARP) (HEERF III).

- Weatherford College created an online application for the HEERF III funds for students to apply for grant money. Notices will be sent out to enrolled students starting in Fall 2021. Students are able to use any component of their cost of attendance for HEERF III funds to be covered by grant funds.
- As of December 2, 2021 Weatherford College announces a LIMITED amount of HEERF III funds available for Spring 2022 semester grants. Eligibility for and disbursement of these funds are the same as for the fall awards. Only applications for spring money received on or after December 2, 2021 will be regarded eligible for first-come, first-serve consideration.

Weatherford College has received a second round of student aid from the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) to distribute in the form of Emergency grant aid. The College will utilize eligibility criteria set forth in the CARES Act Grant as follows:

The amount of this grant will be $1,000 per student.
- Weatherford College will receive $2,547,296.00 in total funding, with student portion totaling $1,273,648.00.
- As of June 22, 2021, the total amount of funds disbursed to students is $1,249,500.00.
- The college estimates that approximately 3000 students qualify and benefit from the Cares Act Grant II funds.
- A total of 1,253 students have received grant funds as of June 22, 2021.
- Weatherford College created an online application for the Cares Act Grant II funds for students to apply for funds. Notices where send out to all enrolled spring 2021 students who might be eligible. Students are able to use any component of their cost of attendance for Cares Act II grant funds.
CARES Act I
- Weatherford College (WC) acknowledges that it has signed and returned the agreement to receive CARES Act Emergency Relief Funds and that it will use at least 50% of the allocated amounts for direct student aid.
- The institution will receive $2,547,296.00 and in total funding, with the student portion totaling $1,273,648.00
- As of December 8, 2020, the total amount of funds disbursed to students is $1,273,648.00.
- The college estimates that approximately 1500 students will qualify and benefit from the CARES Act funds.
- A total of 1,283 students have received grant funds as of December 8, 2020.
- Weatherford College created an online application for students to use to apply for funds and emailed the web link to all currently enrolled students except those enrolled in dual credit or early admission programs. The application was based on the agreement with the CARES Act certification to only use funds for expenses related to the COVID-19 disruption of campus operations. The types of student expenses that will be reimbursed through the CARES Act funds include food, housing, course materials for moving to online instruction, technology, health care and child-care. Initial grant amounts range from $100 to $2,000 per student.
Students considered Title IV eligible and who were enrolled as of March 13, 2020 and completed the spring 2020 semester are eligible.
