Testing Center Hours
Tuesday and Wednesday Only 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- An appointment is required for all testing and MUST be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
- The testing center is closed when the college is closed.
The testing center offers several testing services for our students. We are here to assist you with your testing needs and help with your success as a student. Below are a few testing options you might need. Just click on the test for more detailed information.
Weatherford College uses Accuplacer as the entrance test for certificate programs. The Accuplacer covers math, reading and writing that contains an essay. The cost of the test is $25. If you are going into the EMT/Paramedic, Fire Academy or Police Academy you will need to take all three sections. The Cosmetology program only requires the reading section. The LVN/PHLEB Accuplacer can ONLY be taken at the Weatherford campus.
The ATI TEAS test is used as an entrance assessment for the LVN to RN transition program and the ADN program. This test is computerized and covers reading, mathematics, science and English. The cost is $85 and can be taken twice in six months with a week in between the two tests.
First-time test takers will need to create an account at atitesting. Be sure to bring your username and password with you when you come in to test.
The HESI A2 test is used as an entrance assessment for several Allied Health Programs. This test is computerized and covers A&P, Grammar, Math, Reading Comprehension, and Vocabulary. The cost is $55.00 and can be take once every sixty days.
It is required by the State of Texas to take the PAA prior to taking your TSIA2 test. Why?
- Learn what’s on the TSI Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) and why doing well matters.
- Find out if you are exempt from taking the TSI Assessment 2.0.
- Try your hand (and brain!) on some sample items.
- Get the details about testing and support for your desired institution.
- Receive your certificate for completing this mandatory activity.
When completing the PAA demographic information, you only need to fill out the required information. When it asks for your student ID, you can leave this blank. The first question you will be asked when you take the TSIA2 will be if you completed the PAA. Please bring proof of your PAA to the testing center when you go in to take the test. This does not have to be a hard copy but can be the email on your phone.
Face-to-Face
If you are an incoming college student in Texas, you are required to take the TSIA2 assessment to determine your readiness for college-level work, unless you prove exemption. There are two major components of the assessment which are 1) to diagnose students’ basic skill in reading/writing and mathematics and 2) to place student in the level of instruction to strengthen academic skills.
Before coming in to test, you are required to do a Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) which will give you sample questions and information regarding resources at the college. Once you create an account you will click on the third item Texas Success Initiative Pre-Assessment 2.0 (PAA). You are not required to do the practice exams.
When you come in to test, we will need to see the email confirming this was done. The cost of the TSIA2 is $25.
Remote through Examity
If you are an incoming college student in Texas, you are required to take the TSIA2 assessment to determine your readiness for college-level work, unless you prove exemption. Examity is an online service provided by an outside source contracted with College Board's TSIA2 testing program. They offer their services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by appointment. The fee to utilize Examity is $25 and is in addition to the Weatherford College TSIA2 fee of $25.
If you would like to pursue the Examity option, use the following steps as your guide:
Step 1: Will Examity Work for You?
Confirm that you meet their technical requirements. Examity system requirements are:
- Desktop computer or laptop (tablets, Chromebooks and mobile devices do not meet requirements).
- A working built-in or external webcam, microphone and speakers.
- Internet speed must be at least 2Mbps download and 2Mbps upload. Hot spots are not recommended.
- Google Chrome browser with pop-up blocker disabled.
- You can complete a computer readiness check here .
- It is the student's responsbility to verify that they meet all technical requirements. Once this has been verified you may create an Examity Account .
- Before scheduling your appointment with Examity, you will need a voucher number. Your voucher will be issued once you have paid the TSIA2 Assessment fee of $25 to Weatherford College business office by calling 817-598-6265. You must also scan and email your proof of PAA completion to testing@wc.edu. Move on to step 2 to request your voucher.
Step 2: Request to take the TSIA2 from Home
Before moving forward with Examity, you MUST complete a Voucher Request with Weatherford College. Please do not schedule an appointment with Examity until you have received your voucher number.

- Once your request, payment and proof of PAA have been received, your voucher will be sent to you via email directly from Accuplacer within two business days. Please be sure to check your spam folder.
- Schedule your appointment with Examity.
At the Wise County Campus ONLY you may schedule a faculty exam using the link below. You must specify whether it is on computer or on paper. Please make sure to contact your instructor to make sure the testing information is sent to the testing center before you arrive. This is for make-up exams.
