Weatherford Campus

Dual Credit Application Process

Getting Started with Dual Credit

Students interested in participating in the Weatherford College Dual Credit Program should begin by meeting with their high school counselor to discuss eligibility requirements, course options, and academic planning.

To enroll in dual credit courses, students must meet the eligibility requirements established by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and Weatherford College, including demonstrating college readiness through the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment or an approved exemption. Students must also complete an application for admission to Weatherford College and submit any required documentation.

Additional enrollment steps, deadlines, and requirements may vary by high school. Students should work closely with their high school counselor throughout the enrollment process to ensure all requirements are completed by the appropriate deadlines.

To get started, complete the following steps:

  1. Apply to Weatherford College.
  2. Submit a transcript (if applicable).
  3. Complete Placement Testing.
  4. Enroll in Classes.
  5. Make payments or set up a payment plan.
  6. Purchase or rent textbooks.
  7. Request Accommodations (if applicable).

When completing the application process, please note:

  • Students must first create a Coyote Recruit account, then complete the application.
  • Students will need to use your personal email, not a school or work email.
  • Students will receive notifications of missing or received items in their Coyote Recruit account.
  • Students will be issued a WC login, email, and student ID number, AFTER all required documents are received.  This information will be sent to the email address provided in Coyote Recruit.
