Overview

The Weatherford College Vascular Certificate Program is a two-course curriculum consisting of online classroom lectures and on campus scanning lab learning experiences.

The course of study is comprised of 6 semester credit hours and is designed to provide basic vascular skills for practicing Sonographers / Echocardiographers.

This course is offered to graduates of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or credentialed Sonographers desiring to acquire Vascular Sonography skills.

Program Goals

The goal of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is to prepare competent entry-level vascular sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.

Why a Vascular Certificate at WC?

  • This certificate program allows students to learn the didactic and hands-on information pertaining to vascular ultrasound.
  • Lectures are recorded for students.
  • Labs are taught by a RVT, who will teach students common vascular studies including: cerebrovascular (carotid), lower extremity venous, lower extremity arterial, upper extremity venous, and abdominal vasculature.
