Overview

Separate your voice from the noise. Learn the media. Then redefine it.

The Associate of Arts in Mass Communication offers students hands-on media experience through transfer-ready academics. The program prepares students for today’s fast‑moving media industry through a blend of foundational communication theory and intensive production experience. Students explore multiple media pathways—including television, radio, journalism, sports broadcasting, marketing, and public relations—while developing professional skills that translate directly to university study or entry‑level media careers.

Mass Communication students take core courses alongside those in Radio/TV Broadcasting, gaining authentic, real‑world experience in studio production, live broadcasting, digital content creation, and storytelling. With access to industry equipment and strong connections to campus athletics, students have opportunities to work in sports production environments, building portfolios that set them apart.

Whether you want to transfer to a four‑year university, work behind the camera, in front of the mic, or lead organizational media strategy, this program provides a strong, flexible foundation.
