There are a limited number of spots per semester. Do not delay your paperwork if you want to be considered for a spot as seats are limited. There are day and night classes for Cosmetology.
Application Deadlines

Late applicants will not be considered until the next semester available. Weatherford College Wise County may continue accepting applications after the priority deadline as long as there are still seats available. When submitting your required documents via email, please indicate the semester for which you are applying
Once the deadline for the semester you are applying for passes and you have passed your background check you will get an email to schedule an interview session with the Director.

1) Apply to Weatherford College

- Use the New Student Checklist and complete the Coyote Recruit admissions application for Under Graduate. Do not complete the NON-CREDIT application.
- It is highly recommended that you apply for Financial Aid by following the link on
the New Student Checklist's STEP 3. On the Financial Aid page, you will find information
on financial aid opportunities, including Scholarships, and a link to the FAFSA application.
- Fall FAFSA Priority Deadline - June 21
- Spring FAFSA Priority Deadline - November 18
- Summer FAFSA Priority Deadline - April 17
2) Submit Cosmetology Program application packet
To apply to the Weatherford College Cosmetology program, submit the following documents via email to kwells@wc.edu:
- Which semester you want to begin?
- Are you a former WC student?
- Which program are you applying for (Day or Night):
- Day Program Hours
- Fall & Spring: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (16 weeks)
- Summer: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (11 weeks)
- Night Program Hours
- Fall & Spring: Monday - Friday, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. (16 weeks)
- Summer: TBA
- Day Program Hours
- Copy of Birth certificate
- All transcripts High school and college (if previously attended)
- Copy of TSI/Accuplacer Reading & Math Scores
- You will pay $25 and take only the accuplacer reading & math exam.
- If you have completed a college level English or Math, exam is not needed, but must courses must be on your transcript.
- Criminal History Background Form
- Proof of Meningitis shot records (under 22 years of age)
To apply to the Weatherford College Wise County Cosmetology program, submit the following documents to the Student Services office in person or via email at wisecounty@wc.edu:
- Which semester you want to begin
- Proof of meningitis vaccination, if under 22 years of age (within 5 years)
- Official transcript (high school if have not attended college or most recent college)
- To be official, a transcript must be sent directly from the institution. Unofficial transcripts accepted for the first semester, but an official one will need to be received before you can register the next semester.
- Accuplacer reading scores (must be 250) OR college-ready TSI E L A R scores

- Summer: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (11 weeks)
3) Schedule Interview
Once your packet has been reviewed and background check completed, you will receive an email to set up an interview time with the Director, Carolyn Jean.
Once you have received confirmation that you can move forward in the admission process, schedule a tour of the facilities and an interview with Malissa Mathis, director of the program. You may contact Ms. Mathis via email at mmathis@wc.edu to request an appointment.
4) If accepted, register for classes
If you are accepted, you will receive a packet to be completed for the Cosmetology Program and instructions on how to register.
Once you have been notified of your acceptance into the Cosmetology program, you may register for classes, pay $25 for the student permit from TDLR (nonrefundable), and complete the required forms (TDLR application, Background Check Policy) by visiting the Student Services office.
