General Parking Information
Vehicles parked on any Weatherford College Campus must display a current and valid Parking Permit. Payment for parking is automatically included when you pay for your tuition and fees each semester. The parking permits are valid through the end of the designated year on the permit.
- Students are required to complete the Student Parking Registration form prior to receiving their permit.
For the Weatherford campus, students must go to the Campus Police Department, located in the PLMA building, to pick up their student parking permit. Weatherford College Wise County campus issues parking permits for their location.
Failure to register your vehicle with Campus Police will result in a citation. Detailed parking information may be found in the Weatherford College Student Handbook, by visiting the Weatherford College Police Department, or below on this page.
- All students, faculty members, staff members, and employees of the college who operate a motor vehicle on the campus must register the vehicle and obtain a college parking permit before operating the vehicle on campus property. Parking permits must be picked up from the Campus Police Department located in the PLMA building. Continuing Education students need to pick up their parking permits from the Continuing Education office.
- The parking permit must be affixed to the rear window of the vehicle, in the lower right corner.
- All faculty, staff, and employee parking is reserved between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Two or more people cannot register the same vehicle.
- The registration parking permit does not assure anyone that parking spaces will be available at all times.
- "Temporary" parking permits are available at the Campus Police Department. These are available to students who have a vehicle permanently registered at the college but who need to temporarily bring an unregistered vehicle on campus. These temporary permits may be issued for a maximum of two weeks (14 days) at no additional charge.
- On-Campus Student Housing Residents are required to register their vehicles and obtain a Dorm Student specific parking permit.
Student Union Construction and Parking FAQ

Progress on the new WC Student Union is underway, which means the entire Main Parking Lot is now closed. This $100 million, five-story facility is designed to consolidate advising, enrollment, dining, and wellness services into a centralized one-stop shop. The project is expected to take 18 to 24 months to complete.
While the construction zone is closed, there are several parking options available:
- North Lot: The north lot, which was previously only partially available to students, is now fully open to all students.
- South Lot: Located on the west side of the fine arts building.
- Overflow Lots: We have two existing overflow lots and a third on the way.
- Residential Lots: The parking lots at Durant Hall and Coyote Village are rarely full and are available for use.
- Alkek Fine Arts Lot: Located on the east side of the fine arts building, this lot is accessible via a one-way in and out set up along College Park Drive. Historically, this lot has not been used much.
- Kingsley Parking: Across College Park Drive, the Kingsley Building parking lot is rarely used.
- Durant Hall (for the east overflow lot)
- Intersection of East Park Ave and Curtis Drive (for the north overflow lot)
- Coyote Village
- South parking lot near the Alkek Fine Arts Center
- Small lot outside the Health Science Center and Police Department
- North parking lot by the Doss Student Center
