Overview

With increasing growth through the state of Texas there is demand for new and improved roads and highways. With this program you will learn to be a part of this in demand industry. This course will teach the basic skills that are required to safely operate a backhoe and a forklift. It will teach the safety procedures of this equipment, preventive maintenance, transporting the equipment and operation of the equipment.

Requirements

Applicants must complete the Workforce Education application before they can be admitted into the program and are eligible for registration. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Career Options

After completing this program, you will recieve a certificate of completion from Weatherford College. Possible career options with this training include: Paving, Surface and Tamping Equipment Operator, Pile-Driver Operator and Operating Engineers.

Scholarships

Funding assistance through the Workforce Education Grant and Weatherford College Foundation Scholarship for Workforce Education may be available for eligible applicants, until funds are depleted. This program does not qualify for FAFSA.
