Overview

The American Heart Association (AHA) instructor lead course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

CPR courses include:

  • CARE.HP10010 - CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS)  4 contact hours

Requirements

Applicants must complete the General Non-Credit Studies IA program application BEFORE they can be admitted into the program and are eligible for registration. If under 18, Minor Consent Form is required and must be completed then uploaded with the application.

Career Options

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for many health care programs and employers.

American Heart Association (AHA) CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is valid for two (2) years. Students are issued an e-card following successful completion of course.

Scholarships

This program does not qualify for Workforce Education Grant (WEG), Weatherford College Foundation Scholarship for Workforce Education or FASFA.
