Health Science
Whether you are considering nursing or another field of health profession, there’s never been a better time to take the first step toward a health care career! Training in a health care field will put you in demand. So if you’re looking for a satisfying career and not just another job, both the academic side, with associate degrees awarded, and the Workforce & Continuing Education, with certifications awarded, has a health professions program for you!
WC offers a wide array of career opportunities in the health care industry, including associated degree nursing, vocational nursing, phlebotomy, medical assisting, certified nurse’s aide, dental assistant, just to name a few. Occupational Therapy Assistant has been added to the list as of spring 2014. Best of all, some of our programs could have you in the workforce in less than a year, and our CNA and phlebotomy programs are less than six months long, so you won’t have to spend a long time in school preparing for the health career you’ve always wanted! The majority of our programs offer either state or national certification as part of the overall objectives.
All healthcare programs offered are accredited with both the state and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
