WCJO presents annual "Hope for the Holidays" concert

The Weatherford College Jazz Orchestra invites the community to kick off the holiday season with their annual "Hope for the Holidays" Concert on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. in the Alkek Fine Arts Center. The performance is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Fredrick Sanders, the program will showcase the instrumental talent of the Weatherford College Jazz Orchestra alongside numerous student vocalists as they perform Christmas classics including “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night,” “White Christmas,” and many more.

The student performers, many of whom are also members of the orchestra, will share music of hope inspired by their study of various cultures, expressing themes that provided them with inspiration throughout the holiday season.

“We invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the program which we have prepared,” Sanders said.
