WC Summer Stage auditions announced
Weatherford College invites the community to embrace their inner thespian this summer by participating in a diverse lineup of theatre productions.
From a vibrant youth musical to the timeless classic, “Cinderella,” there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Unless otherwise noted, all auditions, rehearsals and performances take place in the Alkek Fine Arts Center.
"The Spongebob Musical Youth Edition" – Teen Summer Musical Camp
Dive into Bikini Bottom with the return of WC’s popular teen summer musical camp. Auditions for “The Spongebob Musical Youth Edition” are now open and will be accepted online via video submission until April 21. This production offers a fantastic opportunity for young performers to develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Video Auditions Due: April 21
In-Person Callbacks: April 27, 1 to 4 p.m.
Pick Up Rehearsals: May 3, 10, and 24, 1 to 4 p.m.
Camp Date: May 26 – 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Performances: May 30 (7 p.m.), May 31 (3 and 7 p.m.), June 1 (3 p.m.)

WC Summer Stage Children's Show – Snow White and Rose Red
Weatherford College Summer Stage will present a children's show performed by teens and adults.
Auditions: April 27, 1 to 5 p.m.
Performances: July 12-13, 19-20, Saturdays at 10 a.m., Sundays at 1 p.m.
"King Lear" – Weatherford College Summer Stage
Experience Shakespeare's tragic masterpiece, “King Lear.” The script explores themes of power, betrayal and madness as an aging monarch's decisions lead to devastating consequences.
Auditions: April 27, 1 to 5 p.m.
Performances: June 12-14 at 7 p.m.

"Cinderella" – Marjorie Alkek Community Musical
The community is invited to audition for Rogers and Hammerstein's beloved musical, "Cinderella," presented as the Marjorie Alkek Community Musical.
Auditions: May 31, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Callbacks: June 1, 1 to 5 p.m.
Performances: July 24-27 and August 1-3, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.
