WC Jazz Orchestra presents "Hope for the Holidays" concert
The Weatherford College Jazz Orchestra, directed by Fredrick Sanders, invites the community to experience an evening of holiday classics with their "Hope for the Holidays" concert on Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in the Alkek Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.
This annual tradition offers a unique and intimate take on holiday favorites, featuring small group arrangements performed on two Steinway & Sons grand pianos. Students will showcase their musical talents and share personal reflections on their meaning of “hope" during the holiday season.
The concert will include a mix of vocal and instrumental pieces, promising a diverse and engaging experience for all ages.

- Student Art Show and Reception – Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Texas Hall of the Alkek Fine Arts Center. Meet the artists and enjoy their creative works at this semester's student art exhibition. The exhibition will be on display through Dec. 11.
- WC Choir Concert “A Song for Christmas” – Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Alkek Fine Arts Center. Directed by Rick Rainey, the WC Choir will perform a selection of festive choral music.
- Parker County Community Choir “Messiah” Concert – Monday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Alkek Fine Arts Center. Led by WC's Rick Rainey, the choir will perform Handel's beloved oratorio.
