WC honored as “Most Promising Place to Work” for second consecutive year

Weatherford College has again been named a "Most Promising Place to Work in Community Colleges" for 2026 by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development and The EduLedger.
The honor recognizes WC for its best-in-class student and staff recruitment and retention practices, commitment to inclusive learning and working environments, and meaningful community service and engagement opportunities.
“This recognition is truly an honor,” said WC President Tod Allen Farmer. “It highlights our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace. We believe in valuing and respecting every member of our college community.”
WC will be recognized at the NISOD Conference: Advancing Community College Student Engagement in Austin, May 23–26.
NISOD is a consortium of community and technical colleges committed to promoting excellence in teaching, learning and leadership.
In addition to the conference recognition, WC will be featured in the May 2026 edition of The EduLedger.
