Award-winning WC Lone Star Region Rodeo scheduled for Oct. 9-10
The Weatherford College rodeo team will host its second annual WC Lone Star Region Rodeo Oct. 9-10 at the Parker County Sheriff's Posse Arena in Weatherford.
The event builds on the success of WC's inaugural Lone Star Region rodeo in 2025, which was voted "Rodeo of the Year" by the participating college rodeo programs in the region.
The Coyotes compete alongside Angelo State University, Cisco College, Ranger College, Sul Ross State University, Tarleton State University and Vernon College in the Lone Star Region.
The rodeo will feature more than 500 contestant runs. The schedule includes slack on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Final rodeo rounds take place Friday and Saturday nights at 6:30 p.m.
Following the final rodeo performance on Saturday night, WC alumnus Rowdy Decker will perform a concert. Admission to the concert is included with a rodeo ticket purchase.

Weatherford College students, faculty and staff receive free admission with a valid college ID. Children under age 12 are also admitted free. Guests must present their ticket purchase confirmation email at the gate for entry.
