Auditions open for “Shrek The Musical JR.”
Auditions for the Weatherford College Summer Stage production “Shrek The Musical JR.” are currently being accepted online with callbacks taking place the morning of Saturday, April 27.
This performance is open to children entering kindergarten through 12th grade in August 2024. High school students will be given priority for lead roles with middle school and elementary age students auditioning for the chorus.
Video auditions should include a 16- to 32-bar cut of the student singing a musical theatre song with a karaoke track and must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, April 25, via the following links:

Pickup rehearsals are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 18 and 25, and a week-long camp May 27-31. The cost to attend the camp is $100 for elementary and middle school actors and $250 for high schoolers.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1, and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2.
