Through Lead WELL, Weatherford Engages in Learning Leadership! The program offers a package of dynamic, one-hour leadership workshops to help prepare individuals for career and life success. Workshop participants engage in developing life and leadership competencies based around self-understanding, acquisition of skills, and knowledge of leadership fundamentals. 

Workshops are open to Weatherford College students, faculty, and staff. Participants are welcome to attend as few or as many workshops as they have time and interest in attending.

How to Attend

A registration link will be sent through WC email prior to the start of each workshop, or available through a QR code. Please register at least 24 hours in advance. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and continues until the workshop is full. Each workshop is limited to 15 participants. As a courtesy, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance to allow others to attend. Feel free to bring your own lunch.

Few experiences match the rigor and reality of military service. In this workshop, Navy veteran and BAAS Organizational Leadership student Corde DeWeese shares lessons on leading effectively based on his experiences serving the nation in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

First in, last out captures the leadership ethos of the heroes we call first responders. Ed Hadfield is a highly decorated, nationally recognized Fire Chief and Emergency Management leader currently serving as Fire Chief and Fire Coordinator for the Weatherford College Fire Academy. 

Chief Hadfield has led teams through some of the most difficult situations imaginable, including wildfires, earthquakes, large scale technical rescues, and riots. Through his experience at the local, regional, state, and national level, and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, Chief Hadfield shares fireproof principles for leading individuals, teams, and organizations across any profession.
