Admission to Weatherford College is based on an open-door philosophy which means that all persons who can benefit from higher education have an opportunity to do so. Weatherford College does not require ACT or SAT test scores for admission purposes. However, WC does follow the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) law which assesses a student's college readiness for college-level coursework. Students enrolling in academic courses are required to take a state-approved placement test unless otherwise exempt.
Dual Credit / Early Admission(High School students with parental and high school approval)
Students who are still in High School and would like to attend Weatherford College should begin by completing the ApplyTexas Two-Year Common application. Requirements include an Early Admission Form obtained from your high school couselors or WC, unofficial high school transcript, assessment scores (TSI approved) or proof of exemption from TSI.
High School Graduate(Graduate of public, private, or non-traditional high school)
Requirements include the ApplyTexas Two-Year Common Application, OFFICIAL high school transcript with graduation date, assessment scores (TSI approved) or proof of exemption from TSI.
College Transfer(Students from another college or university)
Requirements include the ApplyTexas Two-Year Common Application, OFFICIAL transcripts from previous institutions, assessment scores (TSI approved) or proof of exemption from TSI. Students on suspension from another college are generally not allowed admission at Weatherford College.
G.E.D.(Students who have passed the General Educational Development Test)
Requirements include the ApplyTexas Two-Year Common Application, copy of GED certificate, assessment scores (TSI approved) or proof of exemption from TSI.
Individual Approval(Students without a high school diploma, G.E.D. or previous college)
Requirements include the ApplyTexas Two-year Common Application, assessment scores (TSI approved) or proof of exemption from TSI and approval the Director of Admissions.
Returning Students(Former students who have not attended WC within the past 12 months)
Requirements include the ApplyTexas Two-Year Common Application, OFFICIAL transcripts from institutions attended during absence, and assessment scores (TSI approved) or proof of exemption from TSI.

Special Program Admissions
Admission to restricted programs (Allied Health, Fire Science and Cosmetology, and others) is conditional upon prerequisite requirements and limited to space availability. Please contact the appropriate division for specific admission requirements.
Weatherford College offers apartment style on-campus housing. Students must apply for housing separately. Rooms fill quickly. Contact Sunny Brous at

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) mandates that colleges assess the academic skills of entering undergraduates to determine readiness to enroll in freshman-level academic coursework. Students must provide official scores to the college (scores recorded on high school or college transcripts are considered official). Assessment tests can include: Compass, Asset, Accuplacer, THEA and TASP.
