The Weatherford College Teacher Certification Program is currently admitting new students for the fall.
Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree, have a 2.5 overall GPA with a 2.5 GPA in their subject area, pass a background check, provide three acceptable references, perform at an acceptable level on a standardized interview and score at an acceptable level on the Critical Thinking Test.
Middle school, high school and all-level teaching certificates are available through the Weatherford College TCP.
Middle school certificates include English Language Arts and Reading, English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies, Generalist (English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies), Mathematics, Mathematics/Science, Science and Social Studies.
In addition, high school certificates are available in English Language Arts and Reading, History, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Physics/Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Speech and Technology Applications. Certificates for grades 6-12 include Agricultural Science and Technology, Business Education, Family and Consumer Sciences and Technology Education. All-level certificates (for early childhood through 12th grade) are available in Health, Physical Education, Special Education and Technology Applications.
